Mental Health First Aid Training for Mental Health Professionals
This refresher course reviews the warning signs of mental health crises and reviews action plans you can use to intervene. It also gives you language and exercises to use with your clients and their families so that they are better able to identify when a mental health challenge is arising and how to respond.

Continuing Education Units
- MHA will provide continuing education certificates to those who are in attendance for the entire program, after which they may collect their certificates. MHA will not issue or reissue certificates after each event has ended.
- MHA is approved to provide continuing education by:
- Board of Social Work Examiners of the State of Maryland
- National Board for Certified Counselors (provider #5796)
- Board of Examiners of Psychologists of the State of Maryland
- Based on approval by the above licensing boards, continuing education credits provided by Mental Health Association will be accepted by the licensing boards of the District of Columbia and Virginia for social workers and psychologists.
Event Start Times: Times listed include ½-hour registration and continental breakfast period.
Refund Policy: Refunds are available to those who inform MHA of their inability to attend AT LEAST 2 BUSINESS DAYS prior to the day of that event. No refunds will be issued after that time.
Pre-Registration Policy/Walk-in Policy: Pre-registration deadline is 12:00 noon the business day before the event. There is an additional $10 fee for registrants after that time.
