Individuals who are mental health professionals in Montgomery County, Maryland are eligible to become members of the Mental Health Association (MHA) of Montgomery County. Membership with the MHA is limited to mental health professionals only.
Mental Health Professional Members receive a myriad of benefits, from discounts to our educational events to access to MHA's General Counsel. BUT, to receive these great benefits you MUST maintain an active membership.

Receive a special “Membership Rate” for our educational seminars and CEU events held on an annual basis, including our October Seminar on Ethics in Mental Health Work; April Conference on Taking Care of Yourself in the Workplace; and the May Mental Health Professionals Conference. Discounts total over $100!
Mental Health Professional Referral List
Become a member of the MHA Referral List which is used to respond to requests for counseling and therapy services. MHA receives calls on a regular basis for referrals and looks to its mental health professional members as a resource to meet the diverse needs of our community. "Legal Hotline"
Access to MHA’s general counsel can provide assistance with a wide variety of legal issues such as confidentiality concerns and ethical dilemmas.
Mental Health Resource Materials
Offer your clients and families psycho-educational materials and advocacy updates on mental health and wellness related topics. These materials are available to you and your clients free-of-charge. Please email edresources@mhamc.org to make a request and watch your email for regular updates.
MHA Legislative Network Member
Receive monthly legislative alerts that are disseminated during the State legislative session (January – May). The alerts track and highlight new initiatives and bill information pertinent to mental health.
